The Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity has two great options for you to watch this year’s film festival: virtual and/or in person.

When is the festival?

The festival runs from Oct. 30 to Nov. 7.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are on sale now ($15-$25 for in-person and $150 for virtual).

What to expect

The live series brings films and stories of exciting adventures to the Jenny Belzberg Theatre in the Banff Centre, along with feature events and screenings at various locations including Lux Cinema and artsPlace in Canmore. A select number of in-person events with limited capacity will also be available. Click here for the live events scheduled.

The virtual pass brings adventures into your home. The majority of the virtual films are available for the duration of the festival, however, a few are released after Nov. 7 or are only available for a short duration. Not all films are available outside of Canada. For full details and the virtual schedule, click here.

With so many great shows and events, it’s hard to choose! Visit www.banffcentre.ca/film-fest/2021-A-Z-finalists to get more details on this year’s finalists. When you click the “+” button beside each film name, a drop down menu displays more information such as the synopsis, director’s name, running time, and country of origin.
