DriveBC is reporting on a planned closure for Highway 93S in Kootenay National Park for avalanche control.  The control work follows a weekend  of heavy wet snow and unseasonable warm temperatures. The closure is in place from 31 km south of the Alberta/ BC border to 1 km north of Radium.  Major delays are expected as the TCH remains closed east of Golden making 93S the main connection route between the BC interior and the Bow Valley. Closure are in effect from 2 p.m. MST and will remain in place until control work is complete. Updates are available at drivebc.ca
