Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for the Icefields Parkway (HWY93N). Heavy snow is forecast to arrive today and extend into Friday with total accumulations potentially exceeding 25 cm. Along with the snow strong winds are expected with gusts of up to 70 km/h producing limiting visibility. The winter storm warning also advises that travel from Lake Louise to Jasper be limited to only essential trips. A mixed bag of flurries, showers and above average temperatures are expected to extend into the weekend.
