Banff council keeps intercept parking lot on north side of the tracks in ARP, but clarifies it must undergo assessment of pros and cons of environmental impacts

“The town of Canmore is 14,000 people. It is designed with roads for 14,000 people. On a weekend in Canmore there are hundreds of thousands of people. That puts a tremendous tax on infrastructure."

The Town of Banff will make a decision on or by April 15 on whether a petition with more than 1,000 resident signatures opposing the car-free downtown pedestrian zone is valid.
