COMMENTARY: As traffic volumes increase, safety decreases and carbon emission reduction suddenly becomes less important and relevant than the personal tragedy of injured or lost loved ones.

LETTER: What’s missing in Sylvie Pappas’ letter to the editor “Youth should be more mature until making life-altering decisions” in the Feb. 29 edition of the Outlook and Keith Thompson’s letter in the March 19 edition, is the recognition that gender-affirming care saves lives.

EDITORIAL: While people will grumble, moan and complain about an enormous price increase to park at Lake Louise, the federal agency is fulfilling its guiding principle as it seeks ways for people to better access popular visitor locations and not just in personal vehicles.

COMMENTARY: When we understand housing as a human right, we acknowledge that decent, affordable housing is the responsibility of all levels of government and civil actors in society. Everyone deserves to live in dignity and security and have a place to call home.

LETTER: Why is Parks Canada catering to an elite group that apparently “needs early starts and late returns to access some of the region’s most popular routes”?

COMMENTARY: Canmore residents and visitors to the Rockies need no introduction to the stunning beauty of the mountains.

An average of 1,200 vehicles per day parked at the Lake Louise lakeshore in 2023, with between 2,000 and 3,000 vehicles per day were turned away because the parking lot was at capacity.
